Staking
The GNO token is used for staking on the Gnosis Beacon Chain, where it plays a key role in securing the chain through node validation, enabling users to participate in the validation process and earn staking rewards. For staking purposes, a minimum of 32 tokens is required, which can be facilitated through meta-tokens like mGNO.
Governance
GnosisDAO utilizes the GNO token for its governance processes, allowing users to participate in decision-making and guidance for the ecosystem. Users must hold a minimum of one GNO token to participate in polls and governance proposals.
Other Uses
Developers can access the Gnosis ecosystem fund (GECO) for funding and support when building projects. The GNO token also enables access to various decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and applications like CowSwap and Gnosis Safe for teams and individuals operating with smart contracts.
