Swap is a community-developed cryptocurrency aiming to provide robust privacy, ecosystem fairness, full transparency, a secure blockchain, and ease of use. It was created without a pre-mine, governance fees, or founders rewards and features a custom 15-second block time. Swap is the first CryptoNote coin to use a Cuckoo Cycle variant as its proof-of-work (PoW) algorithm, specifically Cuckaroo29s. The project originated in November 2018 as "FreeHaven" and was later rebranded to Swap in December 2021 with the goal of creating a free and fair cryptocurrency. Swap moved to the Monero codebase, integrating bulletproof transactions and reaping the benefits of the Monero community for enhancements and bug fixes. The CryptoNote Technology enables fully anonymous payments. Swap does not have a fixed price, and its circulation is intended to be fair and free. The currency's max supply is 18,400,000 coins.
